MARVELOUS MAXIMALIST

1038 Beach Boulevard, Hamilton Ontario

As many of you know, I am the furthest thing from a minimalist. In fact, I am a maximalist. I love objects, and things in scale. One might consider such clutter, but I prefer to label as 'eclectic', 'worldly' and 'storied'. My dream home is one that is stacked to the rafters with objects of desire - each with curious qualities, unique stories and fascinating history.

That is why I LOVE this listing (despite not being OLD) - the home owner has lots of 'stuff'!

No doubt they are extremely interesting and have many amazing stories to accompany their wide and varied stock of personal decor items. Other things I love about this home and its design are the many reclaimed architectural details like the Victorian cherry-wood mantle with its beautiful scrolled details, and the ornate, cherub engraved feature doors.

Not to mention all the beautiful greenery though the home's potted plants and lush courtyard retreat, framed through an over-sized set of double doors.

Lastly, this home's character juxtaposed with its industrial landscape is the icing on the character cake. Such a unique and stunning property all around. Truly a work of art - inside and out.
