Our home was designed by Edward Glass and built in 1939. Although not the same exterior style, interior features are/were similar or identical, which is some of the evidence the previous owner used to try and ascertain that Mr. Glass designed that one too. Apparently ours is the only home to have blueprints. Possibly one of the others. Anyway, to answer Moira's question, the Hambly house National Park basement was preserved, and the damaged part was restored. dmcmartyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09853296249941337865noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7517675707032608021.post-77400471152224561632015-11-13T06:17:15.154-08:002015-11-13T06:17:15.154-08:00I haven't seen it personally in a while but ju...I haven't seen it personally in a while but just saw this Globe article:
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/home-and-garden/architecture/hamilton-landmark-art-moderne-home-gets-updated-for-modern-life/article27229114/?service=mobile

Great Reno but does lack some of the original charm, I prefer. It truly hope they preserved the basement at very least. And I hope the railing is somewhere safe.Moirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15466066954162056143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7517675707032608021.post-12641410144920054512015-11-05T07:22:08.792-08:002015-11-05T07:22:08.792-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Moirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15466066954162056143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7517675707032608021.post-768095805936096432015-11-05T07:21:41.488-08:002015-11-05T07:21:41.488-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Moirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15466066954162056143noreply@blogger.com
