GORDON HOUSE CIRCA 1932

70 ABERDEEN AVENUE, HAMILTON, ON

"South of Aberdeen" has become a major selling phrase in Hamilton Real Estate and its no wonder as some of the city's most impressive homes line this historic tree-lined street. And the stretch of Aberdeen between Bay St South and James Street South is home to "Mansion Row." So much beauty your head will spin!

Your neighbour to the east! The others are just as FRESH:)
And that mine did when I was out last night and saw the for sale sign planted in front of this English Manor Style home.

70 Aberdeen is truly one of Hamilton's landmark homes, built by Pigott Construction (see related links below). It sits on a gorgeous 68 x 263 ft park like lot that defies urban perceptions. Other FRESH features include:

  • 26' x 50' in-ground pool
  • Centre Hall Plan
  • Magnificent landscaped estate sized lot
  • Abundant windows with stone lintels
  • Oak hardwood floors with inlay
  • High ceilings
  • 2 fireplaces with handcrafted surrounds
  • 8 inch baseboards
  • Plaster walls and ceiling mouldings
  • Highly walkable neighbourhood

FRESH OPINION:

  • This house should have sold FAST
  • Its a unique home offering a once in a life time opportunity to live in the city's MOST prestigious neighbourhood
  • 73 Aberdeen which sold earlier this year (across the street) is a much GRANDER and character rich home. Hands down wins on HOUSE in my opinion (see related links below).
  • That being said, this home wins on LOT and offers greater potential overall. The decor is dated but can easily become a "10" with good design choices and updates.
